Tasker Products Introduces 'Pacific Blue' Antibacterial Seafood Treatment
New Easy-To-Use Spray Extends Fresh Fish Shelf Life
Danbury, CT - Tasker Capital Corp. announced the launch of Pacific Blue Seafood Spray, a quick and easy-to-use antibacterial treatment that eliminates odors and extends the shelf life of seafood products.
Utilizing Tasker Product's patented "pHarlo" technology, Pacific Blue Seafood Spray works by reducing the bacteria that causes spoilage and limits the shelf life of seafood. It has been tested on a wide variety of seafood at the North Carolina State Center for Marine Science & Technology, Virginia Tech University and Mississippi State University. The test results show that the pHarlo technology has the potential to extend the shelf life of most seafood several days when used as a spray at a retail location.
"The application of our patented pHarlo technology to seafood is an important hygienic development for seafood retailers," said Richard Falcone, president and CEO of Tasker. "Retailers committed to providing fresh seafood will gain an effective and easy-to-use product that safely eliminates bacteria and odors, extends shelf life and preserves taste."
Mr. Falcone stressed that Pacific Blue Seafood Spray "is an enhancement, not a replacement for the safe handling of seafood."
Juan Silva, Professor of Food Processing and Safety at Mississippi State University, who studied the efficacy of the pHarlo technology on seafood, noted that under ideal circumstances, "the Tasker solution...can deliver up to double shelf life on refrigerated filets."
Tasker is currently planning to roll out an extended line of products that leverage the pHarlo technology's unique, antibacterial properties in the dairy, poultry and seafood industries.
