Since 1945, Pick Heaters Inc. has been the leader in the design and manufacture of steam injection heaters. Pick serves the pulp & paper industry with a comprehensive product line. Heaters are available with steam capacities ranging from 700 - 50,000 #/hr and a wide choice of materials. This includes common selections such as cast iron, carbon steel, and 316 SS, as well as more exotic alloys such as duplex 2205, alloy 20, inconel, hastelloy B & C, and others.

The Pick heater is designed to eliminate harmful vibration and steam hammer. It also offers these important advantages over other steam injection devices:

2)Low liquid pressure drop (<2psi)
3)Low noise generation (normally <85dBA)

Pick heaters are in service on numerous applications throughout the pulp & paper industry - heating mill water, filtered whitewater, and green liquor. The heaters are also used for cooking sizing and coating starches.
