New Weighing Shackle Offers Benefits Of Simplified Design
CANTON, Ga. (Jan. 17, 2001) — Dapec Inc. has developed a new weighing shackle for use with the SMARTE Flexible Cut-Up line's weighing system that offers several benefits with its simplified design. The shackle is being demonstrated on-site at the International Poultry Exposition in Dapec's booth, 4534A in the Blue Hall
The new integrated design replaces Dapec's older articulated shackle. Made from stainless steel, the new shackle offers greater accuracy over the weigh deck, a stronger stem, easier cleaning and does not require the unlocking mechanism. In addition, the simplified design has enabled the scale deck itself to be shortened.
The new weighing shackle also costs less than the previous version and, after extensive testing, has been successfully implemented on several SMARTE cut up lines.
The Smarte Flexible Cut-up System provides top performance both in accuracy and quality of cuts while operating at spends in excess of 80 birds per minute. Designed to offer more flexibility than other cut-up lines, the system is compatible with all Systemate modules and can be retrofitted for existing machines. The weigh shackle option allows for birds to be cut depending upon weight, grade and quantity criteria.
