Intralox, The inventor Of Modular Plastic Belting, To Attend CIMIE 2009

Intralox, L.L.C., will present modular plastic belting conveying technologies that have been proven beneficial in meat processing at the China International Meat Industry Exhibition, booth 3A132, this September 5-7.

Intralox impacted the conveyor industry nearly forty years ago with the introduction of modular plastic belting (MPB). Intralox continues to be the leader of MPB conveyance solutions worldwide, working directly with its customers to deliver innovative products and unmatched service and support.

Intralox conveyance solutions have enabled global companies to increase conveyor productivity, decrease production costs, and minimize downtime in their plants. The advantages of using Intralox belting over wire belting are many: belts last 5-7 times longer; belts are lightweight and energy efficient; repairs are quick and easy; all-plastic construction eliminates contamination issues; positive sprocket drive system eliminates mistracking; belts do not require tensioning.

Intralox will feature the following proven successful conveying solutions at CIMIE:

For sanitation-critical applications: Intralox has an entire line of conveyor components designed to enhance sanitation efficiency by conserving the time and water used for cleaning. Savings of as much as 65% have been reported. The Intralox SeamFree belt design eliminates debris-trapping seams on the belt, while Intralox Angled EZ Clean Sprockets and EZ Clean In Place System provide maximum cleaning of the critical belt underside.

For spiral applications: The Spiralox product line includes spiral belts that have proven to cut product waste in half, eliminate metal wear debris, and reduce downtime for maintenance by up to 75%. Intralox offers a spiral optimization program, where Intralox spiral specialists retrofit existing spiral units to make them more efficient and cost effective.

For high-impact applications: The Intralox Tough Belt is a new, high-performance conveying solution for food-processing applications that are characterized by extreme impact, abrasion, and cutting, such as bone discard lines, cutting lines, and re-hang lines. In-house testing has revealed that the Intralox Tough Belt is able to absorb at least five times the impact energy of belt alternatives, with no breakage (tested per ASTM D3763).
