International Poultry Expo '99 Opens January 20th in Atlanta

Next month's International Poultry Expo, to be held January 20-22 at the Georgia World Congress in Atlanta, will have something for every segment of the poultry and egg industry, from feed milling, live production, hatchery, processing, and further processing to packaging and marketing. At last year's show more than 1,100 exhibitors filled the halls, attracting more than 26,000 industry decision-makers.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. The hall will be open from 9 a.m until 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday.

The education program for Thursday includes:

Before the show, January 18 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and January 19 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., the Southern Poultry Science Society and the Southern Conference on Avian Diseases will hold concurrent scientific meetings at the Georgia World Congress Center.

After the show the poultry science department of the University of Georgia, in cooperation with USPOULTRY, will conduct a four-day course in poultry technology following the International Poultry Exposition. The course will be held January 23-27 on the UGA campus in Athens, Georgia.
