30 years of Quality and Service
Within the Poultry Industry
In 1970, a man whose youth included farm life, chickens and the business of chickens, founded a company that would rise to a position of international eminence in the manufacture and supply of poultry and food processing equipment.

Systemate Holland B.V., which merged interests with Numafa B.V. in 1999, was founded in 1970 by Jack Hazenbroek, who still runs the company today. Hazenbroek was refurbishing and selling older poultry machines when he realized the need and demand for newer, more technologically advanced poultry processing equipment.

Systemate grew to become one of only six companies worldwide to manufacture complete poultry slaughter systems. It has led that field several times since its founding. Milestones include the first gizzard machine in Europe in 1972, the widely-imitated eviscerator in 1974, the cut-up line in 1984 and the introduction of deboning systems in 1990.

The formation of Systemate Numafa in 1977 linked Systemate Holland B.V. with manufacturing capability. In the beginning, it mainly specialized in the supply of stainless steel construction and production of poultry slaughtering machines for Systemate. By the end of 1983, Numafa became the manufacturer of Systemate's highly-successful complete slaughter lines.

It was also in 1983, when the two companies still occupied separate locations, that the spirit of SYSTEMATE was tested and triumphed. In the early hours of an October morning, a fire swept through the plant and adjacent buildings, drawing frightened neighbors into the streets. Those neighbors, working side-by-side with employees, hurriedly carried important documents and materials to safety. At first it appeared that a company built with such pride had been destroyed, but rapid work by the fire department and help from many individuals saved the entire factory. Within days, 80 percent operation had been restored.

Today, the companies have merged and occupy a new facility, which has ample capacity for high-volume manufacture and assembly as well as all corporate functions. SYSTEMATE NUMAFA has positioned itself and its customers for success in today's climate and as we move into the next century.

"We expect great things throughout our next 30 years in business," Hazenbroek said. "With technologies such as robots and X-rays being tested for food processing equipment, the possibilities are limitless for how much Systemate Numafa will grow and what the company will produce in the future."

Systemate revolutionized the industry with equipment that was designed and developed not only to reduce energy and water consumption, but also to reduce maintenance time and costs, noise, pollution and labor costs. Systemate continues to thrive today because of its commitment to building "total systems" for its customers. Machines are easy to operate and offer many expansion options. Systemate engineers pay close attention to factors such as maintenance requirements, adjustability and durability of the various parts, without losing sight of the
increasingly stringent environmental and hygienic requirements of the food processing industry. Systemate also maintains contact with research bureaus, universities, laboratories and regulatory bodies in order to provide the highest, state-of-the-art equipment.

The company offers more than 100 types of slaughter and cutting machines, available all over the world. It is committed to customer service as well, sending representatives, sales managers and service engineers out to assist and advise Systemate customers on an ongoing basis.

In 1986, SYSTEMATE NUMAFA made a commitment to the U.S. market with the founding of DAPEC in Canton, Ga. Today, the entire DAPEC operation is consolidated in Canton, in a 20,000 square foot building that houses corporate offices, equipment assembly and product inventory. Located on six acres, the site is adequate for future DAPEC expansion.

Systemate Numafa B.V. has headquarters in Numansdorp, Holland. The company employs more than 400 workers worldwide with establishments in Holland, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Poland, Brazil, The Philippines and the United States. Systemate Numafa B.V. manufactures a full-range of equipment, including poultry processing lines, industrial washing machines, freezing and cooling logistics and catering system.

When it comes to satisfying customers, SYSTEMATE NUMAFA considers perfection the only proper goal. As a company, SYSTEMATE NUMAFA continues to stand for quality as they strive to strengthen partnerships within the poultry processing industry. It has become known as "the SYSTEMATE NUMAFA way of doing business."
