ConAgra Names Simons Head of Beef Division

ConAgra Inc. (Omaha, NE) has named John Simons president and COO of ConAgra Beef Co. Simons will be in charge of the company's beef and lamb businesses, which include Monfort Inc., E.A. Miller and Australia Meat Holdings.

Simons has been with Cargill Inc. of Minneapolis since 1991. He most recently served as VP of the red meat business development for Excel Inc., the beef and pork subsidiary of Cargill.
