Cantrell Gainco Announces Partnership With AICON X-Rays

Cantrell Gainco, a Fortifi Company, today becomes a full-service distributor of AICON X-ray equipment to the U.S. poultry industry. AICON X-ray provides foreign-material detection products for the food and beverage industry, including poultry processors, and reduces cost of ownership through durable designs. Cantrell Gainco designs and manufactures poultry processing equipment as part of the Fortifi Food Processing Solutions unified platform of leading global brands.

Cantrell Gainco will sell, service and support AICON X-ray equipment to poultry primary, secondary and further processors, as well as producers of poultry prepared foods. For example, the AICON SCAN XR-500 Poultry machine can combine imaging technology and weight classification for additional quality assurance during raw-product inspection in individual and bulk packaging. A full range of end-of-line machines covers belt widths from 300-1200 mm. The AICON X-Ray Poultry features AISoft and Aicon Photon Counting Technology (PCT) technology and integrates with Cantrell Gainco's live data tracking software to offer capabilities beyond those of other technologies.

Full-lifecycle automation – especially within the poultry sector – makes Cantrell Gainco equipment an ideal match for AICON’s X-ray inspection technology. Cantrell Gainco will offer fully integrated solutions, including reject conveyors and rework workstations, that incorporate AICON X-ray's conservative approach to foreign-material detection.

To facilitate quick service, Cantrell Gainco will stock and ship critical AICON X-ray spare parts from its Gainsville, Ga., warehouse. Beyond its exclusive AICON X-ray territory in the poultry industry, Cantrell Gainco also will sell and support AICON X-ray products to non-exclusive food industries, either directly or through other Fortifi businesses.
