Cal-Maine Foods Completes Purchase of Hudson Brothers

Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. (Jackson, MS) has completed the purchase of the egg operations of Hudson Brothers, Inc. (Guthrie, KY). The cash transaction included 1.2 million laying hens and 250,000 growing pullets. The assets purchased included in-line housing for the layers, pullet growing facilities, a feed mill and grain elevator, and delivery equipment for feed and eggs.
