Bioterrorism Radiation This course gives details on dealing with a radiation disaster. It was written to be accessible for both health care professionals and the public.
Hemorrhagic Viruses Viral hemorrhagic fevers are some of the most deadly and feared of the diseases on the planet, and they have the potential for use as weapons of mass destruction.
Botulinum This course will teach you about the organism that produces it, the toxin, transmission, prevention with vaccine and antiserum, diagnosis, physiology of its effects, clinical features, therapy, and bioterror uses and response.
Plague This course teaches you about the organism that causes plague, its transmission and prevention, its laboratory diagnosis, its clinical manifestations, its treatment, and the bioterror parameters of the disease.
Smallpox This course teaches you about the organism that causes smallpox, its transmission, its laboratory and clinical diagnosis, its clinical manifestations, its treatment, its prevention by vaccination, the significant side-effects fo the vaccination, and the bioterror parameters of the disease. Two fictional and interactive scenarios are presented for review.
Tularemia This course teaches health workers in particular and lay people in general about the disease tularemia and how to apply that knowledge in a bioterror attack. It covers the transmission, prevention, diagnosis, clinical manifestations, and therapy of the disease. It includes questions on case studies and an exam.


REGULATIONS
Informed Consent and IRB FDA Regulations This course consists of 9 smaller courses and a final exam and covers all the regulations on informed consent procedures and Institutional Review Boards (IRBs)--that is, the regulations of Good Clinical Practices in 45 CFR 46, 21 CFR 50, 21 CFR 56, and other regulations.
Informed Consent and IRB Introduction Module 1 of this exciting story for teaching informed consent contains an overview of informed consent regulations. It should be taken both as an introduction for other modules and as an introduction to the beginning of the adventures of the series.
Global Informed Consent and IRB Terms As Agent GCP and Michele make their plans to discover what is going on in the clinical study, you will learn informed consent terms and international regulations.
Informed Consent Forms Module 3 teaches the regulations covering informed consent forms and what should be included in them. It contains an interactive incorrect form as part of the course.
Informed Consent Vulnerable Populations Module 4 teaches about vulnerable populations and the protections afforded them under the regulations.
Informed Consent Children Module 5 teaches the regulations covering informed consent in children and wards of the state.
IRB(Institutional Review Board) Regulations Module 6 teaches details of the regulation of trials by an IRB and includes an IRB meeting as part of the plot.
IRB Ethics, History, Procedures It is important for any investigator to understand how abuses of patient rights occurred in an environment of poor ethics and to know the major cases of the abuse of rights in human experimentation.
Informed Consent, NIH, and IRB Off-Site Module 8 teaches the rules for NIH collaboration and off-site communication during clinical trials.
Military and Emergency Informed Consent Module 9 teaches emergency and military regulations, and is an exciting finale to the mystery. After the patients are rescued, only Agent GCP's knowledge of the regulations gets them their prescriptions in time.
