Headspace analyzers are imperative for accurate shelf-life testing of finished packages, including CAP/MAP (Controlled Atmosphere Packaging/Modified Atmosphere Packaging) and vacuum-packed products. Sample testing is necessary, as the atmosphere in a package cannot be strictly and indefinitely controlled, only modified. The PAC CHECK Systems are used in production, quality control and R&D applications. The PAC CHECK measures O2 or CO2 concentration with small sample amounts, manually or automatically. The same analyzer can be used for both flexible and rigid packaging. This instrument is certified traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as an added feature for the quality conscious producer.

The PAC CHECK incorporates FLO-SMART Technology, which alerts the operator in the event of a blockage of gas flow from the package into the analyzer. No other analyzers have this important feature! Another great feature is the automatic internal pump, which provides repeatable sampling every time.

Additional options and accessories include: an optional port for manual injection sampling, and a rigid piercing fixture, which allows measurement of O2 or CO2 in headspace of rigid packages. This heavy-duty unit makes piercing tough cans easy. Specifically designed for the PAC CHECK unit is a high-density foam lined portable case for storage and transportation protection. The PAC CHECK Systems have a two-point calibration procedure to ensure complete, reliable accuracy. Regulator kits with calibration gas are available to guarantee precision. Filters are available, such as our Liquiblok filter, for use when liquids are present in the sample and a charcoal filter is available for applications that involve trace amounts of flammable or combustible gases.
