Case Study: A Fresh Approach To Frozen Entrées

By Kassandra Kania, Contributing Editor

Victory's Kitchen develops the perfect recipe for detecting metal in its new frozen food line. The company's kettle-cooked soups, sauces, and salsas are made from scratch. Pipeline style metal detectors used were appropriate for previous products; however, to detect metal in the sealed plastic trays used for the new frozen entrees, Victory's Kitchen turned to Fortress' Phantom BSH stainless-steel metal detector with custom-designed Vector incline conveyor and a flap-gate reject system. The Phantom is a true critical control point, eliminating any possibility of metal contamination.
