One major requirement of customers is to have a single source supplier of comprehensive packaging solutions that are integrated into their production process.

To meet this need, by way of a practical example, ULMA will be exhibiting a high-output traysealing line with automatic product loading and case packing.

Additionally, thanks to the ULMA Line Control system, visitors will be able to see how all phases of the process are efficiently managed from a single central point.

Trayless flow pack (HFFS) packaging of minced meat
Following the European market trend of continuously reducing packaging materials, a horizontal wrapper from the FM range will be presented together with one of the leading manufacturers of meat portioning and mincing lines.

Vertical bagging line (VFFS) for fresh and frozen products
A line consisting of a VTC 840 vertical packaging machine with a wash down design and an automatic gravity case packer will be on display.

Special features of the bagger include the Tight-Bag technology to optimise bag volume and the SealFlex system to reduce maintenance costs through quick jaw changes.

The Tight-Bag technology featured in the bagging machine is compatible with various types of sustainable film, achieving optimal pack sizes that lead to significant savings in logistical costs, both in storage and transportation.

Basic solutions for small and medium-sized processors
Every company has its own needs and not all processors and producers require high-performance end-to-end solutions. Therefore, ULMA will be exhibiting a range of machines and compact solutions for the food industry.

Two compact and versatile traysealers capable of packaging fresh food and ready meals in MAP and SKIN will be on display along with a TFS 200 S thermoforming machine for SKIN applications that is designed to work with different types of materials such as mono-material films, laminates or cardboard.

Solutions for the meat and cheese industries: packaging of slices and portions
Designed for these sectors, we will be exhibiting several packaging lines that produce packaging that fully preserves products until they are ready to be consumed.

A high-output TFS 700 thermoforming machine and an FM 500 horizontal flow pack machine with a LEAFSHRINK format, both for sliced products.

The LEAFSHRINK format is protective atmosphere packaging (MAP) that reduces the amount of plastic in the pack by up to 85% by using a shrink wrap film and a cardboard support tray and it generates fully recyclable waste.

This format will be shown on the FM 500 packaging machine which features a tray destacking system together with an automatic tray loading system for sliced portions.

Resealable tortilla packaging solutions
For customers who want outstanding format flexibility with optimal packaging costs, a flow pack machine for tortilla packaging will be on display.

Flow pack machines are highly flexible packaging machines that are capable of offering a wide variety of options for resealable packs such as:

• Adhesive lengthwise or crosswise on the pack
• Zip lengthwise or crosswise on the pack

A resealable MAP packaging solution with a lengthwise zip will be displayed at the Anuga FoodTec stand.
