Titan Slicing Systems

Titan Slicing Systems has been awarded a patent for its IVS system in the United States, Germany, Australia and New Zealand.

South Plainfield, NJ (PRWEB) - Titan Slicing Systems has been awarded a patent for it’s IVS system in the United States, Germany, Australia and New Zealand.

Titan Slicing Systems CEO, Sean Marr and business partner Jonathan Eyles produced the Titan Involute Vision System (IVS) which is a real-time scanning system that grades and sorts 2000 slices of meat per minute with 97 per cent accuracy to the human eye.

Titan Slicing Systems, based in Nelson, New Zealand is majority owned by Mercer Group and falls under the Stainless Division. This division produces revenue of $30 million a year, but Titan CEO Sean Marr hopes that, with this patent, the revenue will double within the next three years.

"To test our system we flew our machine halfway across the world to Canada to be tested against the leading machine. That machine produced 62 percent accuracy, ours produced 97.3 percent accuracy," said Marr.

The IVS has been an international success in recent years. A $6m contract with Maple Leaf Consumer Foods in Canada was secured by the company in 2012, which provided a foot in the door to the North American market.

Nu-Meat Technology in South Plainfield, New Jersey is the only distributor for Titan Slicing Systems in North America. Nu-meat is excited about the long awaited patent.

“Titan really does have a unique slicing system, and now that it has be awarded a patent on the technology we will have a big upper hand when selling Titan Slicers” says Erik Unfried from Nu-Meat Technology. “With such an astounding difference in performance, we can expect to gain market share quickly.” Erik, goes on to say, “….in financial terms the patent could triple Titans revenue.
