Adept Technology Unveils New USDA Accepted Robot For High Speed Food Handling At Pack Expo 2009

Adept Quattro s650HS Robot Brings World Class Performance to Meat and Poultry Hygienic Handling Applications

Pleasanton, CA - Adept Technology, Inc., a leading provider of intelligent vision-guided robotics and global robotics services, recently announced its new USDA accepted robot for high speed food handling, the Adept Quattro s650HS, will be unveiled at Pack Expo 2009. The Quattro s650HS is the only USDA Accepted parallel robot available for meat and poultry processing. Adept will debut this new robot, and other high performance products at the 2009 Pack Expo show in Las Vegas, October 5-7, Booth S-5380.

"The new Adept Quattro s650HS sets an industry standard for the packaging industry in the areas of speed, flexibility and hygienic capabilities," said Rush LaSelle, director of global sales and marketing for Adept Technology, Inc. "It has been designed to give food packagers the highest possible speeds for raw-food handling, without compromising cleanliness and hygienic standards."

The Adept Quattro s650HS is the industry's only parallel robot with USDA acceptance for primary food handling. The Quattro is now also available with a new fixed platform option for more flexibility with higher payload products. The Quattro line is specifically designed for high-speed manufacturing, packaging, material handling, and assembly applications. The Quattro differs from conventional parallel robots in that it features a four-arm kinematic. This unique design enables higher speeds, faster accelerations, and exceptional performance across the entire work envelope. Powerful compact controls and embedded amplifiers make installation easy while reducing workspace requirements. The speed and precision of Quattro make it the perfect choice for flexible packaging, material handling, kitting, and assembly applications where performance is of paramount consideration.
